From September 11 to 15, 2024, Vienna’s Kursalon will host Particolare – a curated contemporary art salon presenting a selection of artworks and performances. The program constitutes a bold exploration and a multifaceted look at temporality and movement through the creations of contemporary artists and performers.
Particolare is a collectible exhibition developed and curated by a group of practitioners within the arts ecosystem. The collective aims to test new exhibition formats, new ways to engage the audience, and new ways to “be” in an exhibition space.
Particolare offers art audiences and collectors an event that’s somewhere between an exhibition and an art salon, and which is curated, open-plan, immersive, and on a human scale.
“There is a common feeling nowadays in the art world that the museum as we know it today will be very different in the coming years. We all feel it, but no one knows what this museum will be. The same feeling goes with all the exhibition formats and venues: art fairs, biennales, art centers, galleries, collectors’ homes, public spaces, etc. We know these things are going to radically evolve in the next few years. How? We don’t know, but we can test new ways, and build new paths, together with the artists.“
